Renee Iverson at Parkwood Elementary in Shoreline, spent her grant money on a program she calls "Flashlight Friday"!   She purchased flashlights and batteries that the students use every Friday, during the designated silent reading time.  We will turn off the lights and find a comfortable spot on the floor and read, read, read using their flashlights.  We are hoping this will inspire and motivate students to read either by themselves or with other students.
